Seize the Birthday #243-Color Challenge

Hello crafters,

Welcome to another challenge here at Seize the Birthday! Sweet Colleen is our hostess and she has chosen a color challenge for us, and all of you! I loved this idea so much, as it's not something we do very often here at STB! We hope you enjoy it too!

Remember you can use any shades of the above colors in your

design and neutrals are welcomed.

Seize the Birthday #242- Metallic

Welcome to another challenge here at Seize the Birthday!

Cathy is our hostess this month, but before I get to her fun topping, I would like to take a moment and welcome our next Surprise Party Guest for the next two months. She is well known in blog land and we are thrilled to have her designing alongside us!

Welcome, Karren Johnson

Here is a bit about her:

Hi, I'm Karren Johnson from Christchurch, New Zealand. I have been stamping regularly for almost 20 years now and was introduced to the hobby by my mum, who invited me to make Christmas cards with her one year. At first, I was a bit unimpressed by the whole thing but when I was on maternity leave with my youngest, I got bored and started making cards on a more regular basis. This led to an obsession with card-making which continues to this day! To fund this hobby, I have a full-time job as an Operations Manager for an electrical contracting company. Home life consists of hubby Pete, daughter Sarah, and doggie Dexter. Sadly, our eldest son, Matthew, passed away unexpectedly 3 years ago at the age of 21 and we are still learning to live with that loss. Being on design teams encouraged me to keep stamping through the darkest days and I am so grateful for that outlet. Huge thanks to Nancy and the Seize the Birthday team for inviting me to be a Surprise Party Guest for July and August.

*There are lots of ways to add a metallic feel to cards. Foiling, Foiled or metallic coloured cardstock, metallic mica sprays, gilding flakes, metallic embossing powders, metallic sheets, or embellishments!

Winner's #241 Summer Activities

Well, it is time to pick winners for this past challenge and I have to tell you that I was very impressed with so many entries using the topping.
