Seize the Birthday #290-Retro

Hello Crafters, Jules here!  

I am your new hostess for this late August round of Seize the Birthday and  

as such I get the honor of choosing our Topping.  After much deliberation on my part, I've decided to go Old School and chose Retro for my theme.  As you will see by my teammies, Retro means different things to different people and we're here for it all!  

Along with our Surprise Party Guest Karen, we have Nance Salkeld joining us today, as she was the overall winner from our last challenge using our Topping.  We are delighted to have you both designing with us!

Seize the Birthday #289-Cute Critters

Hello Crafters, JoAnn here.  I am the hostess this time and thought it would be a fun challenge to use a Cute Critter or Critters as the "Topping" option on our cards this time.  I hope you like this "Topping" and can't wait to see what you create. 

Before we get to the fantastic cards below I want to welcome our next Surprise Party Guests.  We have Karen Rogers joining us for the next two months.  Welcome, Karen. We are happy to have you!

Here is a bit about her!

Hi there I’m Karen from Hamilton, New Zealand. I’ve been stamping and blogging for approximately 15 years. I’m also known as kareN stampZ on social media which is a play on my name and NZ. In my free time, I love to make cards from CAS to dabbling in mixed media. I really enjoy joining in on challenges as it challenges me and it also helps me find my MOJO when it goes missing plus it means I get to use the pretty stamps I like collecting. I am retired after working in a hospital laboratory for 45 years, so being creative is a big part of my day as I have the time to play more.
