Seize the Birthday #334 -- Add a Sentiment Strip

Hello Crafters!

It's Jules and I'm your host for this next round of Seize the Birthday. Before we get into the heart of this fortnight's post, I'd like to publicly thank my team for pulling up my slack these past six months. For those who may not know, we recently relocated from Florida to North Carolina to be closer to our kids and their families. Moving from a home that you've lived in for thirty years is not for the faint of heart and I'm just now at a point where I can slow down a bit and do the things I love. So just a shout-out to Nancy and her entire team for being so patient with me. I've missed all of you.

A couple of mentions before we get to fabulous inspiration below. We'd like to welcome our most recent winner, Chris Dring, to our blog. We also have a new Surprise Party Guest joining us for the next few months. Please welcome Stacey! She will be finishing off the year with us and we couldn't be happier.

Here is a bit about her!

I have been cardmaking for about 17 years....Whoa, I can't believe it's been that long! I started out scrapbooking but stumbled upon cardmaking during one of my husband's deployments. I fell in love with the process of making cards, and scrapbooking slowly took a back seat. My cards will almost always have patterned paper and an image that I colored with my Copic markers. I find coloring so calming and relaxing, at least until one of the markers leaks lol! When I am not papercrafting, you can either find me sewing, quilting, cross-stitching, or spoiling & playing with my 2 adorable grandsons.

Now on to the business at hand.

For the next two weeks I'd like to challenge

you to add a sentiment strip to your birthday card. Easy enough, right?

Seize the Birthday #333-No Stamping Dies Only

Hello Crafters, JoAnn here, and I am happy to be your hostess.

For my Topping, I want you to put away those stamp sets and make a Birthday card using just die-cuts. For those of you who can't make a card without a stamped sentiment, we will let you do that too, as long as the sentiment is then cut out with a die.

Remember, if you don't care for the Topping, any Birthday card will do!

Before we take a look at the cards below, I want to take a moment to thank Lynda for being such a wonderful Surprise Party Guest over the past two months. We have certainly enjoyed having you on board and hope you enjoyed yourself, too.
